Pull approved posts from the Maintouch API and publish them on your own stack.
Overview
Not every site runs on a CMS Maintouch can write to. Custom builds, static site generators and in-house platforms still need finished posts, with SEO fields, schema and images ready to drop in.
Self publishing hands you the content through the Maintouch API. Your code pulls approved posts as HTML with CDN image URLs, publishes them on your site, then sends back the live URL so Maintouch tracks the post like any other.
Make a key under Developers in Maintouch. It is the only credential your publishing code needs.
Name each section of your site and set its subdomain or path, so Maintouch knows which pages belong to it.
Fetch approved posts, publish them on your site, then mark each one published with its live URL.
Each post comes with processed HTML, CDN image URLs, slug, title tag, meta description, author and schema.
A post that refreshes an existing page carries that page’s live URL, so your code knows to update instead of create.
Marking a post published again with the same URL changes nothing, so a retried request never doubles up.
Subscribe to the post.released webhook and your code hears each time a post is released in Maintouch.
Approved posts by default. You can also ask for ideas, drafts, posts in review or posts already published.
No. With self publishing your code or your team publishes, and Maintouch tracks the post once it has the live URL.
Yes. Mark a post as published in the Maintouch editor and paste its live URL.
