Be the answer when people ask AI
After scaling through community launches on Product Hunt and social channels, Willow needed to create a high-volume organic "front door" through which prosumer users could naturally funnel. Ranking higher on LLMs was that door: it's where people go to find and evaluate voice-dictation tools before they've heard of Willow by name.
With Maintouch, Willow set out to own the voice-dictation category in AI search.
Challenge
Invisible, and illegible to LLMs
Willow was starting from a lower visibility baseline than its incumbent competitors. Their blended AI share-of-voice sat around 15%. The issue was engine-coverage: Willow was cited in 0 of 171 prompts on ChatGPT, and had a 14% mention rate on Claude.
Even though their capability pages already ranked well in organic search, their content wasn't structured in a way LLMs could quote from.
Solution
Content engines can actually cite
With Maintouch, Willow optimized the exact search terms they were missing, starting with "voice dictation" and other related terms where Willow could realistically win. Willow also used Maintouch to rewrite pages and refresh content so AI tools could actually quote from it.
And they keep building: Maintouch publishes new pages every week for different use cases, and continuously adds links from other sites to build trust and rankings.
Outcome
1.2M impressions later, Willow is the answer
Using Maintouch, Willow's site got roughly 1.2M impressions over 3 months, with blog content driving roughly a third of it. Branded search is up 11.3% period-over-period ("willow voice" +16.6%, "willow voice ai" +27%), which is the cleanest available proxy for AI-driven demand.
AI citation average position improved to 3.2, with Willow now cited in 47% of tracked prompts, and it consistently ranks in the top 10 for most of their target non-branded keywords. The organic motion now functions as the intended "front door," and it's strong enough that Willow's CEO actively recommends Maintouch to other founders.
