Overview

Your product news often goes out by email first: release notes, launch announcements, a monthly product newsletter.

Every Maintouch workspace has its own receiving address. Subscribe it to those emails, and new product updates that arrive there keep your knowledge base current, so your content describes what you actually ship.

How it works

  1. 01

    Allow your sending domains

Add the domains your product emails come from. At least one is required, and mail from anyone else is dropped.

  2. 02

    Copy your address

Your workspace’s private inbox turns on with its first allowed sender. Copy its address from the connector.

  3. 03

    Subscribe it to your updates

Add the address to your changelog or newsletter list like any other subscriber.

What you get

Only for your workspace

The address belongs to your workspace alone. Nothing sent to it reaches another account.

Allowed senders only

Maintouch reads mail only from the domains you allow and ignores everything else.

Keeps your knowledge base current

Customer-facing changes in new emails are added to your knowledge base as short, clear facts.

Questions

Can anyone email this address?

They can send to it, but Maintouch only reads mail from the domains you allow. Everything else is dropped.

Do I need to set up a mail server?

No. The inbox is part of your workspace, so there is nothing to connect.

Is this the same as Email (sending)?

No. Email (sending) lets your agents email your teammates. Email (receiving) is the inbox your product update emails arrive in.
