Send request logs from any server and see which AI agents read your site.
Overview
Not on Cloudflare, Vercel, Kinsta or CloudFront? Your servers still see every request an AI agent makes, even though Google Analytics never does.
Post those request logs to the Maintouch API from middleware, a reverse proxy or a log shipper. We match each user agent against our AI agent registry and add the hits to Agent Analytics, by agent, by page and by purpose.
Make an organization API key in Maintouch under Developers › API keys.
Send the url, User-Agent header and timestamp of each request to the events endpoint, up to 10,000 per call.
There is nothing to set up in the app. Your first call creates the connection and, if it is your only source, starts the report.
Anything that sees the request and its User-Agent header can send it: app middleware, a proxy access log or a log pipeline.
Send older log lines in batches and each one counts toward the day it happened.
Pass your own request ID, or let us key on url, user agent and timestamp, and a resent batch counts once.
Each call reports what was accepted, duplicated or ignored. Raw user agents, IP addresses and query strings are never stored.
Agent traffic (write) A restricted API key needs Write on Agent traffic to post events. Full access keys already have it.Up to 10,000 events per call in a 10 MB JSON body, and at most 120 calls per minute per organization.
No. Server logs identify agents by user agent, which a bot can spoof, so the counts are classified traffic rather than verified traffic.
Yes, but Agent Analytics reports one source at a time, so you pick which. Counts are never combined, because both could record the same request.
